Department of Architectural Engineering

 

Department of Architecture Engineering was established in November 2005. It built teaching system with the development of the times in connection with strong demand for talent in the construction industry. It engages in the administration building industry, construction, building design, engineering supervision, civil measurement, project cost, real estate development and bidding agent work. There are seven construction engineering specialties of construction techniques, building design, architectural engineering technology, construction costs, engineering survey and supervision, construction engineering (traffic civil direction) and more than 1,000 students in the department.

The department has an excellent faculty term which has solid theoretical knowledge, teaching and practice experience, and is a "double-profession" teaching team of reasonable age structure. It has 38 teachers, in which four are associate professors, eight are senior lectures, and six are training teachers. Most teachers have the business working experience, some teachers also have relative registered architect, supervising engineer, cost engineers and construction workers practicing qualification certificate, such as estimator, supervisory staff, security staff and other positions certificates.

Department has a advanced training center that has civil engineering laboratory, mechanics laboratories, engineering measurement laboratory, laboratory materials, and decoration technology training laboratory. This professional training center has excellent facilities to meet the needs of professional teaching and student practice. Meantime, department actively explores the idea with the community and industry to take the path of school-enterprise cooperation in running schools.  Now it has established a number of teaching practice base with business corporations to improve professional teaching ability and develop application-oriented talents.

Introduction of Specialties

1Architectural Engineering Technology

Training Objectives: based on the combination of working-study teaching model to train talented students with ability of civil engineering, civil budget and management as well as good work ethic.

Main courses: mathematics, computer applications, construction drawings and CAD, engineering survey, construction and structural mechanics, construction materials, foundation and infrastructure, housing construction drawing reading, construction equipment, construction organizations, construction technology, architectural engineering measurement and valuation, high-rise building construction, project management

Employment orientation: for construction field, graduates be capable of performing required the construction positions, such as civil budget, civil quality, civil safety, civil data and measurement.

2Architectural Design Technology

Training objectives: to train highly skilled professionals with basic theory and professional skills, a comprehensive architectural design ability, strong practical skills and applied computer skills as well as good work ethic.

Main courses: mathematics, computer applications, construction drawings and CAD drawings, Tengen building software applications, engineering survey, construction materials, construction and building process, construction plans, building mechanics and structure, construction engineering and technical data management, architectural design principles, foundation construction, high-rise building construction, construction organization, construction measurement and valuation.

Employment orientation: for construction field, graduates be capable of performing required the construction positions, such as drawing, civil budget, civil quality, civil safety, civil data and measurement.

3Building Decoration Technology

Training objectives: training students to master the basic theory of architectural construction decoration and professional skills with strong practical skills and good work ethic, to engage in architectural construction decoration and management, architectural decoration engineering supervision.

Main courses: mathematics, computer applications, construction equipment and knowledge, construction mapping, architectural performance techniques, building and furnishing materials, indoor environment and equipment, architectural design principles, architectural construction technology, measurement and valuation decorative works, furniture and furnishings, building Engineering Drawing and CAD, 3Dmax, architectural supervision, engineering surveying, building codes.

Employment orientation: graduates are capable of performing related construction decoration jobs in the architectural decoration construction and management, architectural decoration construction budget and final accounts.

3Project Cost of Construction (building orientation)

Training objectives: training students to master the basic theory and professional skills of engaging in related to construction cost application-oriented with a comprehensive ability of construction project management, project evaluation, project cost measurement and valuation, project bidding and contract management.

Main courses: mathematics, computer applications, construction surveying, construction and structural mechanics, construction materials, building foundation, construction and mapping knowledge, construction technology, bidding and contract management, construction organizations, engineering economy, construction measurement and valuation, decorative engineering measurement and valuation, construction project management, project cost control and management, CAD-based.

Employment orientation: graduates mainly for the project budget and final accounts, construction management, project development and assessment, project cost management and consulting, supervision and other relative positions.

4Measurement and Supervision of Construction 

Training objectives: training highly skilled professional to master the basic theory and professional skills of necessary project measurement, construction supervision, and engineering survey with strong practical skills and good work ethic.

Main courses: mathematics, computer applications, construction drawings and CAD, building foundation, building materials, building construction and mapping, construction technology, construction design, construction supervision introduction, construction costs, quality supervision, construction safety management, project bidding and contract management, engineering surveying, property measurement, GPS survey technology, Tengen construction applications, building codes, construction measurement and valuation.

Employment orientation: graduates mainly for supervision, engineering survey and mapping, and related supervision and measurement of construction engineering and management.

5Construction Engineering Technology (Transportation Civil Engineering direction)

Training objectives: to train students to master the theory and professional skills of transportation civil engineering construction techniques such as civil quality control, transportation construction safety, civil quality inspection.

Main courses: mathematics, computer applications, engineering drawing, engineering surveying, building mechanics and structure, foundation and infrastructure, road works and construction drawings, soil mechanics and foundation, road construction technology, construction organizational design, engineering CAD applications, construction technology, highway construction facilities, highway construction inspection techniques, project management, construction measurement and valuation, total station applications, the basis of construction supervision, building codes.

Employment orientation: graduates mainly for road and housing construction as well as other construction and management positions related to construction jobs.

6Construction Equipment Engineering Technology

Training objectives: training students to master professional skills of the construction equipment installation and maintenance, property management and operation management.

Main courses: mathematics, computer applications, building mechanics and structure, building materials, construction drawing, mechanical and construction drawings, PLC theory and application, mechanical and electrical CAD, tolerance and cooperation, contract management, construction electrician and installation, construction technology, elevators and escalators, construction safety management, civil engineering, construction elevator, elevator installation and maintenance, property management.

Employment orientation: graduates mainly for installation, maintenance, and management of the construction equipment and other related working positions.
