Department of Information Engineering currently offers three specialized majors—Computer Network Technology, Internet of Things (IoT) Application Technology, and Big Data Technology—strategically distinguished by academic excellence, with one designated as a national-level key discipline and two integrated into the "Double High Plan" high-level specialty clusters, reflecting their pivotal role in China’s vocational education reform. The department’s infrastructure underscores its commitment to industry-academia synergy and cutting-edge innovation, featuring key platforms such as the Transportation Big Data Collaborative Innovation Center (recognized by the Ministry of Education), a "Dual-Qualified" Teacher Training Base for IT disciplines (Ministry-approved), a provincial-level Teaching Innovation Team for computer network technology, and specialized hubs including the Transportation Big Data Open Training Base, Transportation Information Technology Master Studio, Guizhou Provincial Big Data Talent Training Base, and the Transportation Industry Network & Data Security Engineering Research Center. These facilities collectively fortify the department’s capacity to cultivate high-caliber, industry-ready professionals while advancing research in big data, IoT, and network security.
