On December 16, Khakimjon Khasanovich, Director of Foreign Investment and Cooperation Department of the Department of Investment, Industry and Trade of Namangan Region, the Republic of Uzbekistan, led a delegation to our university for a discussion and exchange meeting. He Xingfa, Secretary of the University Party Committee, attended the meeting.
He Xingfa extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He pointed out that against the backdrop of the Belt and Road Initiative, strengthening exchanges and cooperation with Central Asian countries in education, industry and technology is not only an important measure to serve the national strategy, but also a practical need to promote the high-quality development of the university. The university will take cultural exchanges and talent cultivation as key priorities to carry out multi-level and wide-ranging cooperation with universities and relevant institutions in Uzbekistan. By integrating wisdom and resources from all parties, the university will actively explore new paths for the internationalization of vocational education, promote the in-depth integration of vocational education and industrial development, jointly cultivate professional and technical talents that meet the local development needs with Uzbekistan, and effectively serve the industrial development and economic and social demands of both China and Uzbekistan.
Khakimjon Khasanovich spoke highly of the achievements of China's vocational education, fully recognized the advantages of Guizhou Jiaotong University in talent cultivation and technical services, and expressed his active willingness to deepen cooperation in industrial investment, road and bridge construction, intensive processing of agricultural products, new energy and related fields.
During the discussion and exchange session, the two sides conducted in-depth discussions on the "university-government-enterprise" collaborative cooperation model, the "going global" of vocational education, localized talent cultivation, and the transformation of scientific research achievements. Both sides agreed that a sustainable cooperation mechanism should be established based on the actual needs of industrial development, with enterprises leading investment and market operation, universities providing talent and technical support, and local governments offering policy guarantees.
This exchange and negotiation has laid a solid foundation for our university to further expand its opening up and international cooperation, and injected new impetus into the practical cooperation between China and Uzbekistan in the fields of vocational education and industry.
