From October 23 to 25, the 9th China-Russia Transportation University Presidents' Federation Forum, co-hosted by the China-Russia Transportation University Presidents' League and Siberian State University of Transport, was held in Novosibirsk, Russia. The forum brought together representatives from more than 30 Chinese and Russian universities in the transportation field and relevant enterprises, to jointly draw a new blueprint for the development of transportation talents. Wang Yi, Director of the School-Enterprise Cooperation Office of our university, and Yang Qian, Section Chief of the Academic Affairs Section of the School of Intelligent Manufacturing, attended the forum on behalf of our university.

At the opening ceremony, Sun Lailin, Education Consul of the Consulate General of the People's Republic of China in Yekaterinburg, Dudnikova Valentina Anatolyevna, Deputy Governor of Novosibirsk Oblast, Feng Yaowu, President of the Eurasian International Association, Gao Liang, Vice President of Beijing Jiaotong University and Representative of the Chinese Co-Chair of the China-Russia Transportation University Presidents' League, Klimov Alexander Alexeyevich, President of Russian University of Transport and Russian Chairman of the China-Russia Transportation University Presidents' League, and Manakov Alexey Leonidovich, Rector of Siberian State University of Transport delivered speeches respectively. They emphasized that China-Russia cooperation in transportation education is an important cornerstone of the China-Russia comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership in the new era, and plays a vital supporting role in promoting cultural exchanges and talent cultivation between the two countries.

In the keynote report session, Wang Yi, Director of the School-Enterprise Cooperation Office of our university, delivered a speech entitled Dedication to Vocational Education, Building Dreams for Transportation Connectivity on behalf of our university. He systematically introduced our university's educational characteristics and international cooperation achievements in road and bridge engineering, transportation, equipment manufacturing, intelligent transportation and other fields. He also put forward the initiative to focus on the industrial development of China and Russia, jointly practice the cooperation spirit of the Belt and Road Initiative, take vocational education as a bond for connectivity, and jointly cultivate high-level skilled talents with cross-cultural adaptability. This initiative was widely recognized by the participants. During the forum, our university representatives held talks with presidents and representatives of Russian universities including Siberian State University of Transport, St. Petersburg State University of Transport, Ulyanovsk Institute of Civil Aviation, and representatives of Chinese-funded enterprises in Russia. They had in-depth discussions on issues such as joint cultivation of China-Russia transportation talents, co-construction and sharing of online teaching resources, and joint scientific research.

This participation is an important measure for our university to deepen the opening-up of education to the outside world. In the next step, our university will take the China-Russia Transportation University Presidents' League as a bond, implement the cooperation achievements of the forum, continuously improve the internationalized school-running system, and inject new impetus into serving national strategies and promoting practical cooperation in the transportation field between China and Russia.
