Since its establishment in 1958, the Department of Road and Bridge Engineering has educated more than 10,000 professionals, earning national acclaim for its excellence in vocational education. Our department maintains one nationally recognized flagship program and a high-level specialty cluster with distinctive Chinese characteristics, along with four National Teaching Achievement Awards (Second Prize). Currently offering four specialized programs - Road and Bridge Engineering, Maintenance Engineering, Underground Tunnel Engineering, and Safety Technology - we serve more than 1,900 students with a 100-member faculty that includes 8 national-level exemplary ideological education instructors, 6 provincial-level "Thousand Talent" awardees, and 2 provincial vocational education master teachers. Our academic leadership is further evidenced by a national Huang Danian-style teaching team (honored for pedagogical innovation), a national curriculum ideology education team, a vocational college teacher innovation team, two national productive training bases, and a virtual simulation training center, solidifying our position as a premier institution for infrastructure engineering education and professional development.
