On February 27, Guizhou Communications Polytechnic University held a work deployment meeting for the spring semester of 2026. The meeting systematically summarized the achievements in school-running and development in 2025, analyzed the current situation, opportunities, challenges and tests, and clarified the work goals and tasks for 2026. He Xingfa, Secretary of the Party Committee of the university, attended and delivered a speech. Liu Yan, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the university, made arrangements for the key work in 2026. The meeting was presided over by Wang Changlin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, and all school leaders present at the university attended the meeting.

He Xingfa pointed out that this year marks the 105th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, the first year of the "15th Five-Year Plan", the "Year of Quality Improvement" in the provincial education system, as well as the "Year of Grassroots Organization Construction" and "Year of Deepening Reform" of the university. All staff of the university should adhere to the guidance of Xi Jinping Thought on Socialism with Chinese Characteristics for a New Era, thoroughly study and implement General Secretary Xi Jinping's important expositions on education, and fully implement the spirit of the 20th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the successive plenary sessions of the 20th Central Committee, and the national and provincial education work conferences. They should keep targets in sight, overcome difficulties, solidly promote the implementation and improvement of the high-quality development system of "One Main Body, Two Wings, Three Drivers, Five Priorities and Ten Projects", and continuously highlight the school-running characteristics of "One Bridge, One Course, One Team" and "Building Dreams with Bridges, Serving the Country with Skills", striving to create a new situation for the development of vocational undergraduate education.

He Xingfa emphasized that to ensure the effective implementation of all work, the whole university should temper loyalty and responsibility, and do a good job in the "Four Exemplary Roles" in improving political standing, strengthening theoretical armament, practicing the correct view of achievements, and strengthening responsibility. They should tackle key problems, make full efforts in "four aspects" in top-level design, grassroots organization construction, improving refined management level, and deepening comprehensive reform. They should keep the safety bottom line, and achieve "four intensifications" in position management, risk prevention, internship management and emergency response. With the mental state of seizing the day and the work style of seeking truth from facts, they should ensure a good start for the whole year's work.

Liu Yan arranged and deployed the key work of 2026. He pointed out that in 2026, the whole university should take the initiative to identify, respond to and seek changes, grasp development opportunities, and focus on nine aspects of work: consolidating the foundation of Party building to lead high-quality development through innovation and integration; strengthening strategic planning and improving the modern university governance system; building a "large-scale ideological and political education" pattern to serve the all-round development of students; tackling the construction of the "Double High Plan" to consolidate the foundation for the development of vocational undergraduate education; deepening the integration of industry, education, science and teaching to create a highland for innovation services; adhering to strengthening the school through teachers and building a high-level "double-professional teacher" team; consolidating basic guarantees and building a green and safe campus; deepening international exchanges and improving the level of internationalized school running; promoting comprehensive and rigorous Party governance and strengthening the guarantee of discipline and work style. He hoped that the whole university would unite and take responsibility, with a more high-spirited fighting spirit and more pragmatic work style, fully promote the cause of the university to a new level and create new glories, and make greater contributions to the high-quality development of Guizhou's transportation industry and vocational education.
