On July 17, the closing ceremony of the 2025 University of Oxford "Click&Clash" International Summer Camp was held at our university. The event, hosted by the Guizhou Education International Exchange Association and co-organized by seven universities in Guizhou including Guizhou Communications Polytechnic University and Guizhou University, achieved complete success.

The closing ceremony was organized by the School of International Education and the School of Automotive Engineering. Chen Xiaofei, Secretary-General of the Guizhou Education International Exchange Association, and Wang Changlin, Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee of our university, attended and delivered speeches. Also present were Jiang Shenshen, Deputy Director of the School of Automotive Engineering, relevant faculty members from the School of International Education and the School of Automotive Engineering, 12 outstanding students from the University of Oxford, and more than 70 student and teacher representatives from the co-organizing universities. Together, they cherished the moments of friendship and brought a successful close to this cross-border cultural exchange that bridges the East and the West.

At the closing ceremony, Wang Changlin noted that over the past two weeks, Oxford students and teachers and students from Guizhou universities had engaged in rigorous academic exchanges and immersive cultural experiences, and cherished precious joyful memories together. He expressed that such a wonderful experience was truly moving, emphasizing that building a spiritual bridge between people was the most valuable gain of all.

Chen Xiaofei put forward three expectations for the students of the "Click&Clash" program. First, from their own perspectives, he hoped they would share the landscapes they had seen, the culture they had experienced, the insights they had gained, and vivid stories of Guizhou with their relatives and friends, becoming narrators of Guizhou’s stories. Second, he stated that Guizhou always kept its door open for international cooperation, whether in academic collaboration, faculty exchanges, or student visits, and looked forward to forging educational partnerships and serving as a bond for educational cooperation. Third, he wished this friendship endure across mountains and seas, and anticipated the reunion of students from Guizhou and Oxford on campus to renew friendship and pursue common development.

Max, a student representative from Oxford, shared his reflections: during the exchange in Guizhou, sparks of intellectual collision and ripples of cultural integration emerged between students from both sides. Countless touching moments took place amid simple cultural exchanges — from the knowing smiles when adding each other on WeChat to the impressive talents shown by Guizhou students as they sang their favorite songs for Oxford peers. These warm moments proved that with sincere treatment, barriers caused by cultural differences, social backgrounds, and even personality traits would eventually fade away. He said this once unfamiliar "new world" had gained a reassuring sense of familiarity thanks to the kindness, generosity, and friendship shown by the teachers and students of Guizhou Communications Polytechnic University.
Li Xiu, a student representative from Guizhou Communications Polytechnic University, also talked about her learning experience and expressed gratitude to Oxford students for bringing international perspectives and knowledge.

Education knows no boundaries. This event built a bridge of friendship between young people of the two sides through intellectual exchanges, serving as an important opportunity to promote cross-cultural understanding and cooperation, and holding profound significance for the future international development of our university.








Under the theme of "Click&Clash", the summer camp symbolized the collision and integration of multicultural thinking, aiming to facilitate mutual learning between Chinese and Western cultures. Through joint sharing of curriculum concepts in music, geography, literature and other fields, as well as cultural visits and investigations between students from Oxford and Guizhou universities, the event enhanced the cross-cultural communication skills of students from both sides.


Attended by Chinese and foreign students of our university, this summer camp built a bridge of friendship for young people through intellectual collisions, creating an important opportunity to advance cross-cultural understanding and cooperation.
