Department of Information Engineering

On March 26th, the Department of Information Engineering successfully hosted the 19th "Challenge Cup" National Undergraduate Academic Competition preliminary round at the Botong Building fourth-floor venue. This annual innovation showcase aims to identify exceptional projects while nurturing future innovators.

Twenty finalist teams presented projects across three categories: Natural Science Research Papers, Social Science Survey Reports, and Technological Invention Creations. Focused on "technology for social good," entries featured smart city solutions and digital cultural heritage applications, demonstrating students' strong practical innovation capabilities.

The evaluation process, including project roadshows and expert Q&A sessions, effectively tested participants' teamwork and presentation skills. This competition served as both an innovation incubator and talent showcase, with selected projects advancing to provincial-level competitions while fostering a culture of technological innovation.

Department of Mechatronics Engineering

The Mechatronics Engineering Department held its "Challenge Cup" preliminary on March 28th at the Student Development Center, marking its most competitive year yet with 157 submissions. After rigorous screening, 20 top projects progressed to the departmental finals spanning five domains, which are Intelligent Automation Systems,AI Healthcare Solutions,Renewable Energy Technologies,Smart Manufacturing Equipment,Cultural Innovation Applications.

Adopting a strict "5+3" minute presentation format (5-minute pitch + 3-minute Q&A), faculty judges evaluated projects based on technical innovation, practical value, and social impact. Teams demonstrated working prototypes with data visualizations and scenario simulations, highlighting the department's strength in applied research.

This event has significantly boosted cross-disciplinary innovation among students, with winning teams now preparing for university-level competitions to showcase the department's engineering excellence.

Department of Logistics Engineering

On April 2nd, the Logistics Engineering Department energized its T7-B601 lecture hall with the "Challenge Cup" preliminary competition, designed to foster technological innovation among students.

The event featured dynamic project presentations where teams combined visual demonstrations with technical explanations within strict time limits. Each three-minute pitch tested both research depth and communication skills, revealing students' strong academic foundations and creative problem-solving approaches.

Faculty judges conducted meticulous evaluations throughout the competition. More than just an academic contest, this event has ignited students' passion for technological innovation. As the competition motto states: "No boundaries to innovation, no limits to progress." The department anticipates greater student achievements in technological advancement, contributing fresh momentum to industrial development.
